Application Process
U.S. citizen/permanent resident, undergrad at U.S. institution, 3.0+ GPA, coursework in STEM fields.
Submit transcript, resume, personal statement, and two recommendations.

Very competitive—400–600 applicants for 10–12 spots. Selection is based on academics, research interest, and STEM engagement.
No. NSF only permits U.S. citizens, nationals, or permanent residents.
Program Details
10 weeks (June 22 – August 1, 2025), 40 hours/week with workshops and professional development.
No. Passion and academic readiness are key. Training provided.
Python; also C++, MATLAB, Java. Beginners are welcome.
Based on your interests, background, and mentor availability. You'll meet mentors during Week 1.
Living & Logistics
On-campus dorms with shared rooms, A/C, WiFi, laundry, and gym access.
A full meal plan (breakfast, lunch, dinner) at FIU dining halls is an available option.
Up to $450 in travel support. Most students fly to Miami International Airport (MIA). Shuttles provided.
Summer clothes, laptop, bedding, toiletries, medications, and business attire (Check list will be provided).
After the Program
Possibly. Many students co-author publications or present at conferences post-program.
Yes. Mentors support grad applications and ongoing collaboration.
Resume help, grad school prep, networking, and access to alumni mentorship.
